Yep.

If like last year, I'll be home alone, in bed and asleep.

Which is fine with me

Last year I fell asleep on my sofa before the bells and fireworks woke me up at midnight.

It'll probably be the same this year too.

The only reason I stay awake for it is because the fireworks send the dogs nuts and they wake me up anyway

Growing up in the Highlands, New Year celebrations would last almost a week, going from house to house, party to party.

Different times.

Is Jools Holland still on the telly ? Is that still a thing assuming he isn’t dead.

I normally let of some Chinese lanterns off with friends & kids and have a cuban cigar & a good malt or XO rum. Proper traditional

First year looking at style parties. Most arm to be geared to couples and single women.

Were looking for the hotwife dynamic and open to single men.

Transsexual Transylvania

My wife and I gave up on the overhyped expectations of New Year out about 25 years ago in favour of spending the evening at home with a good movie, warm drinks, and the company of one another.

They have always been the best New Years.

I know a few people happy with the extra money in their wages.

Other than that, I agree. An extra-layer of overpriced nonsense to go with the residual overpriced nonsense.

Sure I'd love to pay £20 for a pre-made frozen 'Daiquiri' in a paper cup, let the fun commence.
