No, of course not, it is not what I meant to say. Thanks for pointing out as I did not make it very clear. Anger needs to be expressed safely so it does not end up hurting others, whether this is physically or emotionally. Some people do have very short fuses and are struggling to follow a "count to 10" but even then there are techniques that can be taught/ learnt to allow them to vent their anger safely. | |||

"Years of learning self control." Not good for my stress levels or bp - so I have learned to control my temper a great deal. That's not to say I never lose it but it is far less often than it used to be. | |||

It depends, of course, on whether or not I feel that somebody deliberately offended/ attacked ... or whether it is more about me being hypersensitive which may be rooted in other things. Dont get me wrong, looking at oneself is not comfortable sometimes, not an easy thing to look for a deficiency in yourself when actually you are quite angry at the time. But I have learnt that taking a moment, taking a deep breath and walking away from a situation before responding really helps as it takes away (some of) the heat of the moment. | |||
