I'm having a dilemma on what to wear....

I haven't been to an Xmas party for many years, the last was a sit down 3 course meal.

Im going to party in a few days time. This one is drinks and a buffet, rather than a sit down dinner and disco.

What would you wear?

suggestions on outfit

Please and thank you

Personally I'd go with anything sparkly. So for me I'd maybe do black trousers and a sequin top (Mrs)

Tonypandy.

Having same dilemma. I've decided I'm just going for something I'm comfortable in, so likely be jeans or leather trousers with a black lace shirt and chunky boots.

Swansea

I recently went to a sit down 3 course xmas meal with a singer & dance later in the evening.

I wore black leather / wet look leggings (from Ann Summers) and a v-neck black long sleeved bodysuit (River Island), with a black knit short jacket which has a fluffy sparkly wool and gold military look buttons (from River Island). I wore black ankle strap stilettos with gold on the heels and a black patent clutch bag.

I felt super comfortable and cosy all day and in the evening I unbuttoned my jacket to have a dance. The trousers are stretchy and so soft too. I like dressing smart but practical and comfort is vital to me these days.

Hope you have a great time

Mrs

Your outfit sounds really nice. Good idea about wearing stretchy leggings. I might try mine on and see if they still fit

I'm going to a work Xmas bloody thing next week. I don't do sparkly. I'll wear a plain black dress with maybe some patterned tights and black boots. And some huge trashy Xmas earrings. It's the accessories!

couple, us we him her.

I went to my wife's Xmas party it was being held at a very big posh office block that was half finished,it was in the centre of Los Angeles.

I'd just arrived and was enjoying relaxing in her office after a long flight from New York.

Anyway I'd just started relaxing when all this gunfire started,I was only in a vest top trousers and no shoes.

Would you believe it the place was being hijacked by a bunch of Germans one named Hans Gruber.

Long story short I won they lost

But I did get glass in my foot.

Yippee Ki-yay

Whatever you wear, I'm sure you'll look amazing.

Just leave enough room in your clothing for pudding.

If you're getting straight out of the car or a taxi straight into venue and you don't intend to go outside to smoke or vape, I would advise showing off those lovely legs somehow.

If you've got it flaunt it. Long dress with a split or shortish skirt.

Xmas lunch next week on Thursday … 19th

Wearing a pin strip dark blue suit white shirt NO tie

Oxford black shoes … black socks wearing my lucky pants …

Will wear my favourite perfume Hermes Terre

Scrubbed and ready to spill soup down me I expect

Staying off the booze because I am doing the “Thank you all for 2024 …. “

I haven't even though about undies or fragrance. That will happen when I've decided on outfit

Thank you. It's Xmas, so I suppose I should make an effort and not wear jeans and a t-shirt with a skull on it.

Lagos, Portugal/ Ilfracombe Devon/ Andover

I went in Xmas tie, socks and shorts, a few saw the socks, one discovered the shorts.

A touch of Christmas is always good, but not the full Santa or elf...unless it's fancy dress

MADERIA Wherever I lay my hat

It would be a dress and knee high boots for me. Plain black if lunch. A bit of a sparkle or possibly red if an evening do
