Street parking

If there are no restrictions ie yellow lines/residents parking in a street, is there anything stopping me parking there?.

Because i can't park outside where i live, i park a minutes walk in a quiet cul de sac. There is one old woman who lives directly outside where i normally park who comes out and stares at me while i park up, but she doesn't drive and she has no drive, so im not taking up a place she would use. I don't want to get into a arguement with her, but i think she thinks if she gets picked by anyone that space is reserved for her. If i don't park there, someone else normally takes it anyway.

Pretty sure you're in your right to park there if there's no residents parking...

Nothing really needs to be said but you could point out it's the nearest space to your home.

If it is a road that has been adopted by the council, and there is no resident parking enforcement notice, and no yellow lines are on show.

Then you are free to park there providing your vehicle has current road tax and insurance.

Carry on regardless.....

Maybe you're confusing staring with gazing. She wants you. Trust me, it's true. Walk up to her, grab her by her wrinkly waste, kiss her like you won't quit, then see her melt in front of you.

Or she might pepper spray you.

Either way, the parking thing will become a secondary issue. So job done

Also please remember that even if there are no double yellow lines marked you are not allowed to park within 10 meters of a junction as stated within the Highway Code.

If you do park within 10 meters of a junction the local on-street parking authority may issue you with a fixed penalty notice.
