Would you record encounters

For safety reasons?

E.g. putting a camera up in your room, telling people the camera is there, and it's a prerequisite for a meet to have it on.

What if there was a way of ensuring the recordings weren't accessible without the agreement of both parties? (On the knowledge that the police could coerce access if necessary).

Do you do this already? I have already spoken to one person who does (and, yes, tells their meets).

Do you think it would act as a deterrent if you did have it?

If someone told either of us that a meet would be recorded, even for safety reasons lol.....we wouldn't be turning up.

I know we like being watch but to have a recording of us on someones computer is just not right.

We would not attend a meet if that was a condition x

I'm this scenario they tell you.

I wouldn't agree to it anyway but *if* I did I'd be very wary that there were no cameras elsewhere eg in the loo.

I will say that I know filming certain scenes within bdsm circles is more common and is done for safety reasons. Those scenes I can’t mention here but they also include consent recordings at the start from all parties involved

It’s more of a legal standpoint though when edgeplay could easily be misconstrued to an outsider or should something go wrong and emergency services are called. Usually in these cases all parties are recording too so there’s no one sidedness.

Surely we are told now that CCTV is their for our safety it's already in place but doesn't stop anyone from abusing it .

Hell no. Being videoed is not on my list of needs, I'd only ever meet strangers at house parties and clubs, where there's security available if I need help.

Nope, not a hope,

I typically don't do meets on spec here, it's usually after weeks if nothing months of chat and banter, that being both parties are well comfortable with each other,

I wouldn't turn up if I knew I'd be on vid.

Yeh, this is partly what inspired me to ask, the other thing being the current trial which is only resulting in conviction because of the overwhelming evidence.

I'm very uncomfortable with it but I'm struggling to deny that it would be a very effective deterrent as well as a very effective piece of evidence, for a crime that is all too common and has a depressingly low conviction rate.

The OP is asking about it from a safety perspective.

While it seems you do it for the pleasure of watching back at later times?

Had quite a few meetings where it's been recorded by the other person, mainly to show their partner, or live with the partner watching. But both parties get a copy.

Are you certain about that? I've stayed in quite a few hotels over the years with my job , and found covert cameras in a couple.
