My wheelchair e-scooter thingy. What a trip

Hot tip - Snag tights are SO robust that they survive being smashed into tarmac and dragged along the ground. Winner!

Now, can anyone lend me some Allen keys? My handlebars are, erm, Fab straight

I know what you mean about Fab straight. If I had a pound for every time a Fab straight guy contacted me, I could buy you allen keys and pay for Stobart to deliver them to you. Hope you are up and running soon.

Somewhere In The Ether…

I hope you’re ok there Kinky and any resulting injuries were more pride based than physical? X

A very kind man pulled up in his van and help me discombobulate myself from the chair/scooter and I'm back on the road (not as I type, obviously). It's just a bit.........wonky

I wonder if Mr KC can turn the Fan straight back straight again?

I grazed my knee through my mega tough tights. Almost certainly an amputation. Pretty certain about that. No blood though!

KC², you bring this upon thyself. Were you intoxicated from lashings of rum and raisin ice cream? Did you forget to take your powerful antidote placebo pills? 😉

I blame the angle and steepness of the kerb and the lack of a dropped section of kerb!

Absolutely zero influence of the velocity at all

Hope you and your trusty chariot are okay.

Was it the road surface, or do you need different tyres?

See above. I thought there was a dropped section of kerb straight ahead but there wasn't. I was doing about 4-5mph and tried to redirect to a section of dropped kerb to my right but a) it was steep and b) I didn't approach perpendicular, but at the wrong angle. So I flipped over onto the right side of my chair/shoulder. In the roadway.

But it's fine. I'm fine. My tights are intact. My e-scooter thing is a bit dented tho

As long as it’s just your scoot that’s dented all ok. Time to break the glass on emergency wine and chocolate though! 🚨

I'm home. Without crashing.

*Serious face*

They need to sort out the lack of dropped kerbs situation. It's beyond ridiculous 😱

The obvious conclusion here is that you need to get better at wheelies. See to it straight away

Glad your trip home was comparatively smooth

I can't wheelie with the scooter attached. I was the epitome of a Reliant Robin tipping over on a slope. Stupid abruptly-ending cycle/foot way thingies.

I went a different way home and had just as many kerb related issues. Kerbs are my kryptonite 🤬
