Is anyone available to come and sever a finger please? I've been trying to fill this fecking pot for half an hour and nowhere near the min fill line!

I warmed my hand!

I'm hydrated!

I dangled it down and tried to use gravity!

I bought a device that stabs you in the upper arm and it's meant to flow right into the tube but nothing actually flowed. I just received a little nick!

ARGHHHHHHHHHHH!

I would if I was closer. The lancet needs to be very firmly pressed against skin x

The lancet is probably too small. Is there a way of getting one with a longer needle?

I feel your frustration but my solution is to follow conventional advice- a really long hot shower so your whole body is moving blood to the skin surface to cool you down for a while afterwards. Heart rate and blood pressure increase also. I then prick the pad of my middle finger and milk it into the receptacle, just like you’ve seen cows or goats being milked old school style. Make sure that the receptacle is solid and will not tip over… don’t want to spill all that hard work… 🤬

If I was closer I absolutely would

You’ve tried the side of the finger pad?

Oh i think one of the tips is flicking your arms in circles rapidly

Sounds like your blood pressure will be elevated pretty soon, that might speed it up

Try your ear lobes, occasionally this works.

I can't get in the shower at the moment (disability shizz). I ran my hand under the hot tap....

I did it. It involved sterilising a decent size sewing needle to ferret in the pathetic hole made by the lancet and nearly squeezing the end off my thumb. I made it to the min fill and gave up

Maybe my incredibly beat up wheelchair hands are the problem?!
