I'm average before I start.

I have been in the situations (away from Fab) where I have been chatting to some incredibly good looking ladies in a pub/club and the same theme comes up time and again. They don't really get chatted up as much as their (less attractive) mates. They don't know why. I suspect they are being modest and guys are intimidated by their looks.

*For the record, I am usually intimidated by their looks. One of their mates will usually talk to me first, usually to ask why I have a resting bitch face and to cheer up.

People who are a non threatening kind of pretty are automatically assumed good. People over a certain line are automatically assumed villains.

Oh they have good looks? Well at least I'm smart / funny / interesting. As if people who look good can't have any other redeeming features.

Jobs given only because the hiring person wants to sleep with you. Jobs missed out on because you're perceived as a threat to their own position because someone higher up is perceived as the kind of sleaze who'd do the former.

I agree with this. Ive been told I'm intimation, cause I'm tall and so called attractive. If wearing heels, im close to 6ft. Men hardly ever approached me when I'm out.

People assume you have no personality or are 'ugly on the inside'. They think you're arrogant unless you're embarrassingly self deprecating. If someone compliments you someone else will say "yeah but he/she/they have got greasy hair/a hairy back/can't reverse park".

People assume you have 'pretty privilege' and any of your achievements were made easy because of this.

These aren't problems I have but I have noticed that good looking people experience the above.

Speaking from (indirect) experience, people mauling you without so much as an introduction

I'm talking out in general public, not in a club environment

An ex of mine was stunningly handsome, like chiselled features, perfume advert kinda handsome

He was a 6 day a week gym goer - he is Portuguese as well, so has the touch of exotic about him

The amount of attention he received was debilitating for him - to the degree it made him not want to go out to bars and clubs

We had complete strangers come up and ask what he saw in me / what was he doing with me

He had issues with women at work making his professional life difficult because he rebuked their advances

He had one colleague tell him he was 'disgusting' because he fancied chubby people and not physically fit people like her

He was 'let go' albeit with a decent pay off shortly afterwards for some trumped up, unjustified error he'd apparently made

It just never added up, but work became so toxic, he just took the money and did one

Yep. I'm only attractive to people who find me attractive. It's a subjective thing entirely. Loads of people rave about the likes of Jason Mamoa and co. but I don't find him (or many other "celebs") attractive, for example.

Indeed. However it doesn't really matter because "good looking people" (subjective) are just as judgy about other shit towards others in other ways (including other good looking people) so it all balances out and karma equality is restored.
