Bugger!!!

Thought I finisehd the chilli I made for the NYE party and went shopping, and found I put the hob on full, and burnt the bloody thing beyond recognition!!!

Good job the day was still young and the shops still opened, and I managed to put a replacement on the hob in time for taking it with me tomorrow morning!

Otherwise it would have been very embarrassing indeed!!!

Not going anywhere tonight, the hob is on low, and if I fall asleep, it won't burn, I hope!

Oh Bugger indeed and there was me thinking a hot chilli only ever burnt on the way out

Just as well you made it bak to the shops for the fresh ingredients. Must be cool to be organised like that lol

The chilli is still ok!!!

Made most of the cheesecake now, just the jelly to go on top.

The ironic thing is that, the organisers of the event can't make it themselves, as they have a flat tyre without the means to replace it until next week!!!

Wait for it ...

I burnt the soup I intended to have for dinner, FFS!!!

I came in here to check forum posts and forgot about the soup!

Luckily it is not beyond salvage, and should still be a nice noodle soup by the time I finish with it!

Just add a glass of water to allow for natural reduction if heating. or, turn it off now as it will continue to cook for an hour whilst still warm

All done, the chilli survives, and the cheesecake chilling in the fridge.

Just need to look up the campsite and surrounding facilities like supermarkets and petrol stations etc...

More or less finished packing for the night, and I am knackered!!!

Roll on tomorrow, woo hoo!
