YOUR Fab Profile Appears on Google

So I was changing my privacy settings here on Fab, then I realised there was a toggle to turn off, if you didn't want your profile to appear on Google search.

This had me by surprise as I never knew of that. So I Google my profile name and it was on Google with my fab link.

Im not sure many of you are aware of this and I thought to share. Wish I could upload screenshot here.

Be careful y'all

Maybe it should be part of the sign-up process, or at least shown the path to turn this option off, to ensure that people are aware?

Worth popping this into feedback/suggestions, I reckon.

Go to Privacy Settings:

Show profile to non-registered users: You can choose to have your profile page hidden from anyone who isn't a member (also hides it from search engines).

Show my profile to non-registered users (it's hidden) show it

Search engines: You can choose not to have your profile listed on search engines like google. If you opt out, your profile may take a couple of weeks to disappear from search: We have no control over this.

Allow my profile to be listed on search engines (no, hidden) list it

Is it? I don't recall anything pointing me towards these setting during the creation of this new account.

Maybe I just didn't notice or because I already knew where to change it. 🤔

I'm positive it's one of the first list of options... Its more likely that people don't read it properly or fully understand what it is as they are clicking through in their dash to get to the free porn

There's an option for...

show my profile to non registered users

You've got to turn th3 search engine one off.

Ah, perhaps it is then and I just changed it automatically, because I've already been here lol.

But you might be in that it gets overlooked because of eagerness. 😆

With the block, searching for my username brings up results of a "hardness tester" lol. Somewhat apt, considering. 😆
