Oh ok, anyone can join in.

How many pairs of trainers (sneakers, runners) or similar non-shoe, non slipper, flipper, footwear you got and roughly how many do you buy a year or a decade.

I got 3x NB550, one is for long city walks , the other two casual. 1 x AF1 casual, 1 of each ASICS road and trail, 2 Solomon trail, 1 Merril sea muds and rocks - so just 9 in total. I worked out I bought 3 in last 12 months

1 pair, that I bought during the summer, after the old pair fell apart. On average, maybe once a decade or so. I’m not such a big trainer fan, and I mostly don’t need them for the exercise I usually do.

3 pairs all sketchers. Mainly it’s a pair of white hi- tops and I just wash them when they get a bit grubby so not one for buying trainers often.

I just wear them for comfort though.

I don't do gyms. I work on my feet but wear boots, so only really pop them on if I'm going out and I've never been a label person.

As for jogging/running? Nope. People die doing that shit. 😂😂

2pairs waterproof outdoor walking Merrell and Nike.

1 pair smart fashion trainers white Nike (coz I iz cool innit)

And a pair of cross trainers for da gym.

I’ve got 2 pairs of Skechers trainers, I’ll keep them until they fall apart.

I might buy a pair every 3-4 years.

I never have more that 2 pair at a time. I’m not a collector.

I have 3 pairs of loakes I cannot remember the last time wore them, they were good in their day I guess for lasting a lifetime but the problem old footwear you miss out on better tech. I also ditched all my boots for trail shoes to keep my ankles strong & flexible as I get old and decrease the weight on my knees and back

I often ponder what foot / trainer technology will be like in a 100 or 500 years, self massaging , rejuvenating, navigation using vibration ….

I just buy a pair if i see them and I like them. I only really replace the pair that I wear regularly and find most comfortable. Maybe 2 or 3 times a year.

Oh god I’m a sneaker head so embarrassing to say well over 100 yes I have a problem probably a cream for it somewhere ha. Sneakers now are like watches as investments as I been lucky to have bought pairs which still in boxes worth over 2K.

Four in total. 3 x Nike, 1 x Sketchers (awful brand, personally, so I use them for dossing around in).

Replace when they either fall apart or feel uncomfortable. Whichever comes first. Usually don't have to replace too often, as I take care of them.

Oh, and a pair of hiking boots. Also have steel rigger boots and steel trainers. But they don't get used anymore, as I don't work on sites these days.

Not sure why I keep them, to be fair. 😅

I got 16 pairs that are in current use, 5 of which are boots, for walking.. and that’s just what they’ll do. Blundstones, docs and Northface, Several trainers for different fits, 2 pairs of shoes, both docs. 1 pair of trainers for running, 1 pair of northface slippers and an assortment of trainers for different fits. There’s more but don’t count as I don’t wear them that often if at all. I Love good footwear

I’ve got about 6 pairs I currently wear, 3 are adidas zx750’s in different colours, the others are napapijiri, Nike and another pair of adidas. I have a fair few pairs of dress shoes, a new pair of smart winter boots which are Bugatti and a pair of North Face dog walking boots. Never been a fan of north face stuff but these boots are toasty and water proof.

Currently just 1 a pair of adidas sambas for the gym as I like a flat sole with no cushioning to squat and deadlift in

Need a casual pair for wearing say to day but got into the bad habit of going everywhere in my flip flops so haven’t bothered to get a casual pair yet
