Who remembers the build up of excitement towards the next weekly magazine like the beano or commando and the girls had their favourites.

Was there a whizzer and chips or is that my imagination

What was your favourite weekly magazine and don’t forget the Xmas album special present.

I used to collect loads of various comics when I was a kid. Beano, Dandy, 2000AD. Loads of random ones like Sonic The Hedgehog, Alien, Space Precinct, The Real Ghostbusters.

Never knew what happened to them, but knowing my mother, she probably gave them away along with all my LEGO. 🙄

Didn't even ask if I wanted to keep anything. Pretty much cleared out my entire room as soon as I left home. Not even the worst thing lol.

She wonders why I never speak to her and ignore every attempt at contact. 😂

Anyhow, yay comics! Still love them, but I did gravitate more towards a graphic novel too. Spent many hours in the local library, reading the ones they had.
