I don't think I could be in a relationship again. I learnt in my early 20's they weren't for me. I've been single for nearly 25 years.

I am one of lifes loners, much prefer my own company and not having to pander to another half.

In a word no - I'm not happy being single. The search for a 'life' partner is largely fruitless and frustrating, possibly because I'm involved in many different things suddenly dropping those to put all my energy on to someone I find hard and tends to cause arguments and a quick breakup.

I'd probably say that at the moment I'm a serial intermittent monogamist since I've failed to get other couples to invite me into their dynamic.

Still here holding an optimistic view but repeatedly being knocked back - ce la vie

I've been officially single for 15 years thru choice I work alone and can honestly say I've never felt lonely. I've had a couple of longterm fwb. But I'm to set in my own ways for a 24/7 relationship. Yes the down side is as a single guy over 50 its almost impossible to get meets on here but it's not the end of the world.

"Are you happy being single,or would you like to find love again? "

Both! For the most part I’m a loner and content in my own company, but I do get lonely and I feel like I have so much love to give the right person. A really good, close fwb would probably be a good solution but I don’t feel that will ever happen, so in the new year I will hit the dating apps again. Sigh…

"Are you happy being single,or would you like to find love again? "

Dunno. I have the days where I think I’m too old and there’s not much hope. Gave up on dating, I’m happy making friends I guess.

I have my person in my head, she’s always with me.

It would take some really unlikely happenstance and circumstances for the whole thing to strike again.

Keep going, try and keep the head up and do what I do I guess. Who knows?

Harder than it deserves my attention and effort, that's for sure. Spent 2-3 years on the apps and came up short every damn time. It's such a weird place nowadays, rife with seemingly more issues than here. 😆

I'm content with it for the foreseeable. I love my own space too much to ever live with anyone again, so if I ever changed my mind about singledom it would have to be for someone who also loved their own space. I'm not sure many people would be OK with that tbh.

There is way too much pressure in society for people to be part of a 'couple' and conform to societal norms such as mortgage, marriage and kids.

I've done none of those things, mainly because I am a natural loner and recluse.

Unfortunately, with the price of housing and cost of living etc, there is even more pressure to 'couple up' in order to survive and have a joint income.
