Smell, for sure. I live quite close to a water treatment plant and in the Summer it fucking stinks outside. 😂

Surely if you can't smell... You can't taste either? Aren't they connected?

"Surely if you can't smell... You can't taste either? Aren't they connected? "

I belive they are. I don't have a sense of smell due to medical issues and have often felt it affected my sense of taste. So food is just food to me, I don't get the experiences others do.

Those that said smell may want to rethink it.

At least 80% of what you think is taste is actually your sense of smell. So by getting rid of smell you are essentially removing what you perceive as taste.

Taste itself is the least useful of the senses.

I’ve been thinking about this recently and it would definitely be hearing. I’d learn sign language and get to stop listening to all the stupid nonsense I hear every day.

It doesn't get rid of all your sense of taste though. I have no sense of smell but I can still taste things, like the yummy mango ice cream I had last night. Luke

I'd give up hearing, at least tgat way I'd have a genuine excuse for not listening to certain people drone on about things

What's the trade off?

I'd happily lose smell but would want something in return.
