I keep reading profiles stating that the person is not a swinger.

So what is a swinger to you ?

I dont usually worry myself with labels too much but someone has said the way i approach fab is not that of a swinger and i am probably looking in the wrong place.

I prefer to build connections.

Maybe/ hopefully find regular playmates.

Are they right ? If so what should i say i am ?

I would agree, I think you need to be in a relationship to be a swinger, if you're single then you're just a bull or unicorn

I'll answer from my perspective, OP...

I am not overly clear what swinging is but I often tell women quite early on in my chats that I am "...not a swinger in the traditional sense". What I'm referring to is anything relating to group play, or clubs, hardware associated with erotica toys, implements, equipment and other such paraphernalia, fetishes and extreme kinks.

That's not to say that the aforementioned could be labelled as "swinging", perhaps BDSM?? I have no idea...

Instead, I use my own self-coined term — Enhanced Vanilla™ when describing myself to other women, in that I am vanilla but also amenable to soft play in the bedroom. In essence I'm just an old-fashioned romantic whose trysts and dalliances are the outcomes from chemistry, mental connection and synergy, flirting, woo'ing and courtship.

I don't see myself as a swinger because group, club, NSA sex... all of that does nothing for me. Bar NSA sex, I've not done the aforementioned and I don't think I will ever want to. It's perhaps not the traditional definition but I think that it's more the mindset? Singles can be swingers is how I see it. Definitions are fluid and change over time.

My mindset isn't a swinger one. Very happily ethically non-monogamous but very much not a swinger. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just... not how I am. How I've ever been.

For me the term swinger if more about a way of life and being active in the lifestyle (as a single or couple or poly-relationships).

Personally. I see the people who go to house parties and clubs, to have sex in lots of different ways with lots of people, as swingers.

Then there are the relationship dynamics, hotwife, hothusbands, stag, vixen, open, poly, cuck, bull, relationship anarchy etc etc

I do think both singles and couples can be swingers, as they are actively playing in the lifestyle.

lots of singles do choose to just be promiscuous and happily just have sex with a variety of people
