If your time on fab was being used as a social experiment, including the meets you had whilst here, would you want to know and do you think you should have been given the right to consent/opt in to being included in it?

That Sydney University disclaimer is an urban myth.

"That Sydney University disclaimer is an urban myth. "

How about if the person conducting it was a user and openly admitted to it, just before leaving?

Seems an odd thing to do, but then in my mind life is just one big social experiment.

I've had meets where people have requested things they've not experienced before, just because it's something they wanted to try once.

It wouldn't bother me. Others may feel differently.

It wouldn’t be an ethically accepted experiment if the participants can’t give or withdraw consent

I agree with both of your posts, I find it morally wrong, however someone on here has done so for the last 2 years and has a profile boasting about doing so. It’s not what I expected when I joined fab, and even worse knowing I’ve had conversations with them..it was all just research.

"Who hurt you? "

Can’t tell whether this is genuine or not, but let’s go with it being so, it’s not about me and my hurt, it’s the ethics of consent. Other guys have slept with that person thinking it was a genuine connection, whereas the opposite was true, the whole premise was manufactured. Surely Fab wasn’t set up for that🤦‍♂️

People sometimes claim to be conducting a social experiment to what end I have no idea unless they're writing a paper for their degree or something. Quite often it's a ridiculously elaborate excuse to help them justify to themselves that they're having sex with multiple people or they've made a complete fool of themselves by completely misunderstanding the whole concept of swinging and it's a get out.

If someone asks a lot of questions (not just the usual ones that people just starting out ask) on here around swinging, the effect on relationships etc etc I avoid them. I thinks it's as well to have a certain level of cynicism about everyone

I think you need to report them to the admin team, and maybe the police if they’re deploying coercion

Agreed.

If consent is being obtained under false pretences you need to let admin take a look.

I thought you were referring to consent to being part of a social experiment.
