How many major turning points created by another person can you think of in your life.

So to dissect down a little further, the age gap thread made me think of an older guy that I was 'dating' when I was 18 and how he definitely set me on a sexual path unlike any of my peer group around me.

My kids father has left me very untrusting of the genuineness of most men - regardless of what they say. That ended 9 years ago!

La la land

My Dad, pointing a firearm at me was the culmination of years of abuse. But that put me down a road I'd rather not have travelled. I'm happy with where I'm at now.

Crumlin

Really bad relationship break up, forced me to assess my worth in the world and what I wanted from life.

And I don't regret the choices I have made since that point

Oh yes, being abused and sexualised as a child was definitely a turning point.

Not many care to hear about it, that's one thing I learnt very early on.

And then that being ashamed and trying to ignore it, was even worse.

I've been fortunate enough to have some very good people in my life too. In several cases we each others turning point.
