I definitely wouldn't climb Everest. I don't know what the Tsugaru channel is, but if it's as crazy as climbing Everest that will be a no too.

Everest looks awful, unregulated numbers are causing real problems.

I like mountain climbing (most is 5900m so nothing at all like Everest) but I'd find the numbers there off putting.

No, but I am prepared to walk up the hill to the Chinese takeaway, and possibly jump over a puddle. Will that suffice?

The Continental

I always wanted to attempt Everest, and even made an attempt to gain corporate funding to sponsor an attempt, but it fizzled out.

That would be my choice.

Sounds like an undecided vote to me

Not the North West...

Open water? Oh no thankyou.

In theory, i'd love to climb a mountain. I'd seriously need to up my fitness first though.

No, if I wanted to die freezing my bollocks off, I’d want it to be something cool, like eaten by a polar bear, not die from hypothermia because I got stitch.

I can just about climb the stairs MB

And I can't swim

So I'd do the lake, but walk round the shore instead

Are there any nice hotels to stay at?

I’d prefer to climb Kili, that’s on my bucket list. Everest doesn’t appeal at all with the commercial aspect.

So I’ll give you option 3, mt Kilimanjaro

But if it has to be between the two, the swim.

Not Everest but I would climb some of the others, the lesser well known ones are still well above 26000 feet, with virtually no one on them, see if you have paid a ridiculous amount to be shepherded up with the masses and reach the summit of the highest mountain, well done and all that but you will get the same view from all the others without other people, when you climb a mountain it’s about the mental and physical push to the top, it’s not the mountain you conquer, it’s that little bitch inside of you that tells you watch telly and eat maltesers, you beat that, the other high mountains in the Himalaya’s such as Cho oru or Lhotse are more of test and if you are a big strong person then K2 or kangchenjunga is where people go to die (300, expeditions, 77 fatalities)

It’s my dream to do one of those, not Everest because in the end the only person that cares you made it to the top is you, so why wait in a queue at 8,400 metres when you can get to the top of the other ones without seeing a soul, remember the crowd is told what to do, you aren’t the crowd, you are you, see you at the top
