Hey everyone happy fabbing...what's people's take on people who regularly hide there profiles then re open them to messaged etc and hide them again ...we can help but think this is a bit sus (prob one half not knowing the other half is on here) ...or are we way off the mark?

You don't have to unhide your profile to message but even if you did the partner could still see they'd messaged.

Some people hide their profile for legitimate reasons. Some people are just trying to keep how bog of an asshole they are more hidden.

You just gotta use your best judgement on which it is 💜

They probably message and unhide so you can see them, then they hide again to help cut out some of the shit messages.

At least that’s how somebody explained to me why they do it.

I don't see any problem with it. If that's what someone wants to do, that's entirely up to them.

Many use it so they don't get flooded with messages every day. Especially couples and single women. They can receive anything up to 100 messages per day or more. Hiding saves that from happening and gives them control over when they want to use the profile.

Some people don't want to be recognised by Friends, Colleagues and Neighbours, for obvious reasons. I don't care if people from my work see me on here, but I could imagine if I had a female colleague on here, that she might worry that if a guy saw her and started to share that fact. Once that gets out, idle gossip is hard to stop and who knows what the spoken or unspoken impact could be.

Yeah thanks everyone it does seem to be from single guys with not much content on tbh but we are still new ISH on here so may be totally normal ...maybe we are just overthinking it ...and as someone pointed out we agree it's their profile and they can do what ever they want with it ...just wanted to make sure other people though of the situation...thanks guys x
