Getting Beach Body ready...

Evesham

I have 6 months until I am getting married on the beach.

I am creating a small home gym space. All I have so far are adjustable dumbbells.

What other items/equipment would you recommend?

I know I need a bench, so many to choose from!

My only goal is hypertrophy - I'm vain.

Thanks

And add getting dressed and leaving the house to my workout routine? Sod that.

North West

Agree about joining a gym and having at least one session with a PT, who can plan a bespoke programme that you can then follow by yourself.

And that is why some ladies do not go to the gym.

Sunniest Exeter...

Good luck my guy!

Remember your body is also something that can be lifted and it's a lot heavier than weights.

So remember to lift yourself too. Look up about Callisthenics.

Number one thing though. DISCIPLINE. Whatever you do, do it religiously (unless injured) even if you feel crap, do it anyway, even if it's the only thing you do that day.

Best of luck!

If you want the quickest results train each body part 2x a week, take creatine and eat lots of protein and limit carbs, it's pretty simple, just stick to eating clean 90% of the time and you'll look completely different in 6 months

Skipping Ropes, resistance bands, pull up bar (gorilla gyms a good one), adjustable dumbell set.

Your diet will play more of a role than exercise.

You can get a good body just by doing the basic lifts and getting really strong at them.

You really only need a barbell with enough weight, a squat rack and a bench to get good results, but only if your diet and exercise form are in check.

Squats

Bench press

Deadlifts

Overhead press

Pull-ups

These are really the only exercises you really need to build a good foundation.
