I'm not doing it currently, but I am a roleplayer - specifically Dungeons & Dragons. I have several hundred pounds' worth of source books, favourite dice, piles of notes. I've written and published scenarios, organized games conventions and written software to manage them, published a fanzine, and played and DM'ed more games than I care to remember. And I married someone who did the same.

I have seen that, it is funny but mostly just comedy value. I've gotten into metal detecting vids on yout#be. The proper maletal detecting machines are very expensive but worth it from what I can see. I've got a fairly cheap machine but would love to save up and buy a really good quality one.

I love it as it gets me outside in the sunshine ideally. the anticipation of finding something is fun but I've only found coins and not old ones either! Lol.

When you get to the end of the bridge turn left at the sheep farm, then take a right at the hill (the one with the sheep on), then you’re going to need to look for the bothy by the brook, when you reach that keep going up the cobbly path to the old coal mine. You should be able to smell Cawl from there, once you’ve found that and can hear a male voice choir singing Calon Lan then you’ve pretty much done Wales. 😂

"I study maps 🫣 kind of needed for my job but I really enjoy it 😂

Can I ask what type of maps? is that a silly question it sounds silly.

Absolutely not a silly question. I have to study road maps, but love to study nautical and physical maps.

🤓

Oh wow cool, so you'd make a good navigator then I take it?

I hope so. It helps to pays my mortgage

And it seems you like it you enjoy it too, so that's always a plus for work.

Could you tell me how to Wales please? 🤣

Tooty fruity is tired

When you get to the end of the bridge turn left at the sheep farm, then take a right at the hill (the one with the sheep on), then you’re going to need to look for the bothy by the brook, when you reach that keep going up the cobbly path to the old coal mine. You should be able to smell Cawl from there, once you’ve found that and can hear a male voice choir singing Calon Lan then you’ve pretty much done Wales. 😂 "

This is fucking brilliant. 🤣

"Geeky :

I know a few different computer programming languages.

I can repair electronics at component level.

I am great with CAD and own a 3d printer."

3d printing here aswell and a pain when the tart plays its face, cad for me ends with 3dmaker but no need to make complicated patterns lol.

been playing with home assistant, raspberry pi, esp8266 and esp32 with esphome and yaml code and everything is pretty much all been done so copy n paste works for me..looked at arduino and its pretty much same with their libraries.

very basic solder skills but gets me through what I need to do.

all good fun until something does not go right.

I'm a keen photographer, mostly landscape though I like nature too, my hobby is dominated by choosing locations & using various apps to study weather forecasts & choosing what gear to hump around with me, I try to choose the right gear as I'm getting too old & fat & especially grumpy for hauling bags of heavy glass all over the peak district or the lakes or snowdonia etc

I buy hard copies of quiz books and go through them cover to cover. I write down everything I don't know or get wrong, then at a later point research those items and type it up in a Word document.
