Rapidly disappearing profile

Alton

I have just exchanged a couple of messages with a new profile in my area that came online less than an hour ago. The replies received stated they were interested in meeting and could they call me tomorrow morning. I replied to say I would send a message tomorrow morning with my mobile number and, no sooner had this been read, the profile has disappeared on the basis that the user is no longer on this site. Very odd! Does this happen often, and so quickly?

Not just me then. No, it wasn't blocked and the original profile looked genuine with 3 pictures showing faces. Strange!

North of The Wall - youll need your vest

Arranging a meet within 1 hour of joining the site would ring alarm bells with me....

Maybe Im just an old cynic.

That's why I thought I would wait until the morning before supplying my private mobile number, in case it was too good to be true.

I've had a wink from someone one Saturday morning, clicked to check out the profile and couldn't, said the usual message of you have blocked user etc, half an hour later the wink had disappeared

I rarely ever message anyone who's been on the site less than a couple of months and not verified by meeting or photo verified.

Yes, it potentially limits the number of people I could meet but I'd rather meet 1 genuine person than be messed around by 10 fakes or dreamers...
