Favourite James Bond theme tune

Berkshire

‘Live and let die’ was on the radio recently and it was so good to hear it again after ages. So that got me thinking as to what my favourite Bond theme tune is.

It’s a hard choice as there have been so many great tunes but for me it’s a toss up between A view to a kill (Duran Duran) and Nobody does it better (Carly Simon).

Odds are you won't like what it is

On a related note, RIP Vic Flick, who played the guitar on the original Bond theme. He has died at the age of 87.

I suspect I’ll be the only one who votes for this, but my favourite has always been ‘An all time high’ by Rita Coolidge (from Octopussy [and no, not because she might have eight pussies!!] )

Second fave is For Your Eyes Only.

1. OHMSS Theme.

100% Bond, great music for the action sequences. Never, Never, drive listening to it, you will be doing 20 over the limit in no time

2nd Surrender by K d Lange.

End theme of Tomorrow never Dies. And it is amazing.

3rd Man with the Golden Gun Lulu.

That is the list.

End of!

It has to be Shirley Bassey's diamond are forever, it just has an incredible groove and feel to it. I have all the bond themes but that's just unbeatable.

Shirley Bassey sang 3 Bond theme songs (Diamonds are forever, Goldfinger, and Moonraker) all are classics. Shirley gets my vote.

Oo yay! I’m glad you like it scrumptious Julie, though I’ve never heard the pulp cover. Off to the tube I go!
