No like a cosmetic face mask with ingredients infused in a fabric sheet which you place over your face.

The sheet masks I have used, I didn’t really rate. I didn’t feel like they made any difference to my skin. I prefer a standard deep cleansing or clay mask

applied with fingers or a brush

Yes I use them, maybe once a month. I should use them more as my skin on my face can get quite dry and these help.

Maybe you need to add something within your diet as many foods can provide benefits for the skin

Usually an exfoliation and mask once per week is fine, twice if skin is oily. Exfoliate first to get the best out of the mask.

I like the convenience of sheet masks although the standard ones are much more cost effective

I don't think there are any foods that vastly improve mature skin. Drinking water, eating well and good sleep all help but a facial now and again(no, not that kind ) does improve the look of your skin

I was thinking twice a week.

I do the cleanse, exfoliate, steam, mask, tone thing but I wondered if it can be overdone.

Avocado, use as a skin mask, it's really good at providing vitamin and making your skin feel smooth, youthful and adding additional benefits

I think if it’s just for hydrating and moisturizing purposes, then a couple of times a week should be fine but if it has ingredients like AHAs, BHAs or retinol then I’d stick with once a week so it doesn’t strip your skin.

avocado face mask:

Honey: Moisturizes and has antibacterial properties that can help heal pimples and fade scars

Oatmeal: Gently exfoliates and detoxifies the skin

Lemon juice: Brightens the skin

Apricots: Removes dirt, grime, and pollution from pores, and is gentle on sensitive skin

Yogurt: Moisturizes, restores pH balance, and tightens pores

Olive oil: Can be added for winter skincare

Egg whites: Can be whisked into the mask

No worries - enjoy! My skin always feels best when I’ve used a cleansing balm (the Elemis ones are gorgeous) and an exfoliator and then removed both with a damp hot cloth or flannel.

I use one twice a week. 20 min leave in but clean your face first with something like mica water

Get the ones with hylsuric acid / vit e

Also did you fingers in packet scoop out gel and rub that on neck

Don’t wash your face after leave all the stuff to Soak in overnight. My dermatologist/ laser woman always tells me it’s a mistake people do washing the face after a mask

Use a hot flannel before applying any face masks so it soften the skin and put some cucumber on the eye lids before the flannel

^^ I do use steam or a hot flannel before a mask. It opens the pores. It's very important to follow with a cold cloth or toner afterwards though.

Ooh I had one on last night after dermaplaning (another word to confuse the men 😉). How often depends on the ingredients I suppose. Now it’s winter I’ll be using my hydrating ones once, maybe twice a week? X
