I hope you’ve all had a good Sunday

Me, I’ve spent the whole day trying to save my house that’s currently 6 inches under water

Sucks, feel for you on that one. I've had a couple of close calls recently.

I hope it gets sorted for you soon.

"Does it look like it's going down a bit ?"

It was all surface water. A month of rain in a night.

Now the ground is saturated so no where really for it to go.

Have put most of what I can on bricks

it depends on where you live or live in a flood area to what you can do.

whilst you can block the door with sand bags your only buying time to get everything of importance put higher above the water level.

its no fun when your being flooded out you can be left without power.

if your meter is high enough you can have upstairs on whilst downstairs is off.

I haven't seen any major face from the Government showing any sympathy or Royal either, bit strange.

"I haven't seen any major face from the Government showing any sympathy or Royal either, bit strange."

Interestingly I had someone from the local council and their contractors for roads knock my door offering support such as skips etc.

I did ask them when they last dug the ditches clear and dredge the rivers, they didn’t answer that

I have the same problem, every year the leaves clog up the drains and are left until there is flood damage.

River nearby hardly ever dredged.

Makes you wonder where our money is going.

Funny them offering skips when the money used on them could have been used on better flood defences. Prevention.

Hope things get sorted, flooded with Christmas on the way isn't going to be fun.
