Cruising or trt testerone and libido

I started trt a whole ago and the best thing I have ever done. Libido has shot through the roof.

I know some builders stay on lowish level testerone. Trt seems very unusual when compared to other countries and expensive but if you know how to get a blood test it's not to difficult to check if you have low free testerone and if you do, getting on a weekly dose can do wonders. Anyone else on TRT here

Aside from it contributing to your libido, what good is it doing for you?

Sorry missed this, It helps with collagen production, blood count and a number of things. The amount of testerone is nothing like what a body builder wouldn't take but it really has helped me in the gym as well. Most quickly noticable is the libido though

I take about double trt levels and have done for 10+ years now. I was diagnosed low when I was 30 but refused treatment so decided to self medicate

Best thing I did I’d sooner die than go back to living with low test no joke

What’s your measure ? I used to get tested regularly when I had Bupa and the last time it was 26 which they said was fine, but I’m wondering if I should re test .

My doc said once you hit 40 you should be checking every three months because low T can cause all kinds of problems mentally and physically, including that bit of extra fat around the stomach, a sign of low T, but that could be mince pies I guess….😋

Yeah I’m feeling a bit sluggish, but it might just be Christmas.

unfortunately on the NHS, you’ll have to be below about 6 or 7 to be given treatment. but my doctor said if it goes below 15, you should be taking a shot every 3 months until it’s back in the 20s.

I’d definitely agree with your doctor mate nhs normal range is 8-32 which is far too wide obviously going to feel massively different at the top of that range vs the bottom

Been absolutely fine mate, recent liver and kidney function tests were perfect, I did have a heart attack in 2021 which wasn’t related to testosterone use was a freak accident from the combination of a bad sickness bug and the fact I dehydrate easier due to having my large intestine removed causing extreme dehydration I got to the point I couldn’t walk with the cramps and blood clotted and several went into my heart but recent heart scans have showed normal function and no left ventricle hypertrophy. Test Levels were tested while in hospital it was off the top end of the scale (54) on 250mg per week of test haha
