Salt and vinegar or just one of them?

Tomato sauce or mayo or anything else?

Do you add anything else like cheese or a pickled egg or even sausage or fish?

Vinegar, then salt. Tend to only have sauce with chips by themselves, otherwise I pick randomly from a selection. BBQ, ketchup, mayo or sriracha.

On a “Friday chippy tea”, with a fish, scraps, salt and vinegar and a side of mushy peas and buttered bread, especially after grafting out in this cold weather!

Straight from the UK's best chippie's chippy (Stones in Acton, West London) just straight salt and vinegar.

At home from the oven, USA style hot gravy.

This one is award winning.

Regularly got fish suppers from my crew when we were on late finishes so it is well and truly a Chippie approved Chippy

Best chips are patatje oorlog, from Holland, means "war chips". Perfectly cooked chips with layers of mayonnaise, peanut satay sauce, diced raw onions, and sometimes ketchup. Awesome!

About 3 feet away from the fence

When I was in secondary school there used to be this chip shop I'd go to every lunch break, and I'd routinely order a small portion garnished with salt, and a heady mix of both vinegar and onion vinegar.

Was absolutely bursting with flavour, but I bet my hands stunk for the rest of the day 😂

Vinegar then salt, if it's with anything, I like a pie, steak and kidney or mince, with curry sauce.
