FabSwingers.com forum: Do I look like TripAdvisor?

Maybe it's just our location and people are taking a final weekend away before the Christmas season takes hold.

I'm not aware on our profile it states anything that we're travel agents or TripAdvisor.

Had three seperate accounts message over the course of the weekend - two, not even any pleasantries - to ask (or demand...?) recommendations for the best pub, Indian curry house, taxi firm.

None of these messages by the way included any invite or potential hint they may want to meet/have a social.

Deleted all and blocked all but found it quite odd....

For reference, none of these profiles we'd ever chatted to before and all three came back asking/demanding other recommendations like we were TripAdvisor. Only one said "nice profile" in their inital message but didn't go any further, even when we cheekily hinted of a social etc. Almost like this bit was completely ignored and wasn't responded to.

Genuinely wouldn't have minded to a degree if the opening message was pleasant, maybe even if they'd have asked nicely with a please and thank you. Just randomly jumping into a "in town, recommend X" was a bit full frontal.
