I love grilled Halloumi cheese and also BBQ bananas (in their skin, of course).

Anything made by me, and I am not going to be coy about it.

Homemade burgers

Lamb ribs with a Moroccan inspired spice rub

Pork pieces in my own BBQ sauce

Chicken thighs marinated in Patak's curry paste (the only marinade that is not made by myself)

Lamb kebabs with the meat being marinated in yoghurt, mint, garlic and lemon juice

Beef satay with marinade and satay sauce made by myself

I would make the side dishes myself too, like coleslaw, cous cous, pasta salad, potato salad.

I had catered for a large group in the past, the most burgers I had made was 86, and sufficient food, including desserts, to feed 40+ adults and 15+ children.

Happy days they were too, as I love BBQ.

And I don't like other people cooking my food, in case my hard work is ruined and burnt to a crisp!

I like a spatchcock chicken or a butterflied leg of lamb or fish.

I love the optimism here. One drop of sunshine and we're swapping barbie recipes.

Glass is always half full here.

Besides, I would have a BBQ even if the sun is not shinning. I have had BBQs in the rain under cover too.

Oh and as well as marinating i put my meat etc into one of those cage things - makes it much easier to turn.

I usually chargrill some peppers and courgettes too cut into fat slices.

BBQ veg like courgettes, aubergines and peppers are delicious.

I love to make veg kebabs, or cut the courgettes and aubergines in slices and then BBQ them, brushing them with my veg marinade that is also my salad dressing.
