How many of your exes have you kept in touch with?

A few years ago I remember saying I had kept on amicable terms with both of my serious/long term exes which was considered unusual to the company I was talking to.

Fast forward to today and of the 6 serious/long term exes I am only on good terms with one (and that's not even my ex-wife/mother of my kids but that's another post).

None.

I’m brutal and surgical with that stuff. Once they’re gone, they’re all the way gone. Never to been seen or heard from again.

If life is always a learning experience, doesn't it make sense that others are also learning and therefore, may be better later, if encountered again?

Just the father of my children. I stayed on good terms with all of them but they fell away with time.

Once I'm done with someone, I'm done. I haven't spoken to my ex since the day I walked away and its the best decision I ever made. If there's a reason you aren't apart of my present, you have no place in my future. Leave people in the past and moving forward is the only way to truly heal.

Two of them message now and again. It's civil.

I've never spoken with or heard from my ex husband in years and I'm good with that.

My other ex, I stupidly want to hear from all the time. I think of him every day still, but for the sake of my sanity I can't entertain that.

Wherever

Apart from the father of my children, which I’m on very good terms with, none.

Some of my long term exes are also no longer alive so it simplifies stuff, pretty much.

.

My first serious partner, still good friends with her. It was the least messy breakup I've experienced and I imagine we'll be friends for many years to come.

My exs have a habit of trying to stay in contact, messaging me months, years later after I say I don't think it's working, we're not lighting each other up etc etc. I don't know why. Sometimes I really wish they wouldn't because they weren't particularly nice/were emotionally abusive.

I suppose it's how things end, what's said as well as how the relationship was.

Mother of my kids, only or it's kid related, minimal contact, and another ex works for the same company so we occasionally see each other, on good terms but not like we meet outside of work or anything.

My main ex and I are still good friends. The relationship stopped working but that doesn't mean we suddenly stopped liking each other.
