Just got letter through door £100 parking charge for over staying

Hi,

The Christmas before last I parked in McDonald's car park.

I'll save you all the details but I too got a £100 fine from a company employed by Mc's to solve their car park misuse probs.

I contaced Mc's and they contacted the firm to stop the fine.

Don't pay.

Contact McDonald's - They're good folk.

If you just dumped your car there and sodded off they'll check the cctv.

They make it look legit ... but it's just an invoice.

Hello had this happened to me before. Ok if you have proof of a purchase made, did you pay by credit card etc, email the evidence to the parking company and they will cancel your fine.

These companies are in business because many people would pay the fine rather than argue.

Keep your receipts go back and inform staff and don't pay the fine but write to McDonald's head office.

As far as I am aware these type of "fines" are unenforceable.....They are made up to look like proper parking fines but are not.

If it was at a Motorway Services or Shopping Centre or Supermarket then these places are not public highways and fines are not enforceable...

Ok just looking at it now I stopped on the mac d all the time as as the person I meet there was having to phone between other people yes it was 2.45 m time but I never left the building other then go to my car to get a pen

It shows my car on a camera entering Nd leaving

I will not pay it cost me a fortune in coffee

No I don't have any reciept paid cash

You don't have to pay it, as its a penalty charge notice, it's basically a contract if you pay it you've agreed to the terms and conditions. They have no lawful authority they're a private company. Screw it up and forget about it.

I replied of course saying I don't need your goodwill as I wasn't going to pay for being cheated ,
