Probably a boy band of some kind.

The Wanted were pretty rubbish as were A1.

But I think my vote goes to One True Voice. They were the Boyband made to rival Girls Aloud. They released a single called ‘Shakespeares way with words’. That tells you all you need to know.

it’s really down to peoples own personal opinion of course, the Beatles paved the way for modern music, U2 and Coldplay have drawn the biggest crowds when touring, but they’re not everyone’s cup of tea, every band will have their haters too, im not a fan of plastic corporate generated groups that the xfactor and the likes used to thrust upon us every year.

Dead-on-balls accurate. I couldn't stand her either.

Bandwise, R.E.M. - or to paraphrase one of their records, Whiney Shouty People.

I know one of the trendier December pastimes is "Whammageddon", seeing how long you can avoid hearing 'Last Christmas'. Well, mine is "Don't Get Pogued". The annual five-week wankfest of being reminded what a wonderful Christmas classic it is will soon be upon us. My skin starts to crawl as soon as I hear that opening piano bar and that neanderthal MacGowan starts grunting (though by this point, I've usually switched station). I've hated that record since I first heard it in 1987, and despise more with each passing year. If ever I meet the Pet Shop Boys, I will gladly buy them a drink for keeping it off the No. 1 spot.

"Has to be u2 or the smiths??"

To be fair, I once saw a band where none of them had even a basic level of talent, they couldn't tune their instruments properly and the "singer" had a falling out with the bassist half way through the second song... threw his guitar on the floor, and left the audience with several minutes of annoying feedback. Thankfully the next act were really good.

Realistically, there are very few artists who make it into the public eye that are NOT talented, and the likes of The Smiths & U2 are undoubtedly VERY talented bands.

I personally HATE the way that Morrisey performs, HE makes The Smiths one of my all time Least Favourite bands, but there is a HUGE difference between being crap and not being someone's taste.

Glad to see i'm not the only one to think Queen and Oasis are utter bilge!

Quite surprised that The Shitehouse Family or M-People aren't mentioned anywhere, but will take it as they're that mediocre and tedious they're pretty much forgotten about.

It can't always help a band if some lead, or other members, create cuntish names for themselves.

Somehow, using a real name makes people more accountable!

Oddly, fucking hilarious live- particularly together. Think they just get wankered, come up with the most insane idea for a live show and then find people to make it happen

No no no no… can’t let that go. Some of the most beautiful music. Booooo!"

Mark Linkous was wonderful .

I’ve always really disliked Pearl Jam, The Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Limp Bizkit.

The band the band that really comes to mind though, is…..Razorlight.

Not that big a band, I guess, but I definitely loathed them .

All subjective, of course .

Concur with 3 of the above, but The Undertones? Saw them live in ‘81 and was one of the best gigs I’ve ever been to (out of hundreds). Even the current line up, minus Feargal Sharksy, are a great night out.

Looking at the answers above, people appear to be answering with their “least favourite” bands. To me, “worst” would mean “least technically proficient”. In that case, it would be Madness in ‘79. Even now I’m not sure Lee Thompson has learned to play the sax properly. That said, I thought they were brilliant that night.

Now then... Was that at friars with the chords and the knack? All for less than a fiver? What a night! As frank valli might have said.

I hate Oasis. But a lesser known band cage the elephant. Their self titled album is great but I saw them live once they were absolutely fucking wank. There was feedback in the audio, the singer wasn't any good the rest of the band just made noise not really playing the music. None of their music was recognisable and the singer acted like it was the best thing anyone had ever witnessed

"The Darkness"

Used to hate the darkness. Thought they were more of a novelty. I saw them when I went to see black stone cherry as they were supporting, they were genuinely brilliant. Excellent musicians, crowd engagement and a hell of a show. They were the support act but they felt more like the main act. Amazing

I know it goes down to personal taste but i would say over 90 percent of the groups mentioned are talented they write their own music play their own instruments and are brilliant artists regardless of if their music is to your taste.

My vote goes for any manufactured girl band and boy band and anyone from x factor or any other reality show. Can't sing can't play a instrument and definitely can't write their own music. Talentless.
