How likely are you to give people a second chance on fab if they let you down in some way. ??

Depends on the circumstances. If legit then second chance is fine

It’s contextual, it would entirely depend on the nature of how I was let down

Completely depends on the circumstances and how genuine I think the person is. I don't do blanket responses.

Sure.

I'm not that self obsessed, people have lives away from here and things happen.

I'll give the most boring answer on any thread but: it depends.

I/we once gave someone three chances to meet which were frustrated by car trouble and.. I can't remember what else. Each time it was believable and I had sympathy for them, but at some point you have to pull the plug.

I've also had a few people just.. not turn up, then message me a few weeks later with excuses and asking to set up another meet. Obviously I didn't give any of them a second chance 🤷

It would completely depend on the situation and how they handled it, if they’ve done it before etc.

I think a blanket Yes or No is too extreme either way.

Depends what it was. If something came up and I thought it was genuine of course I would.

Nah, plenty more fish in the sea as they say, and I'm not up for being stood up or messed around for a second time if someone fucked about first time. The "dead nan/dog/goldfish" excuse has been given too many times now 🤣

Nope, fuckem.

It would be different if it’s someone I already know as that’s an existing friendship and I know they’re not taking the piss.

Depending on the reason but regardless of anything there wouldn't be a 3rd chance

It all depends on how the person let me down plus how much I respect or like them 😁

But once done whomever it may be they’re dead to me 👍🏽

I recently let someone down, and I feel shit about it. We’ve been trying to meet up for ages and life just keeps getting in the way. I had a free weekend in the middle of a project, so I said yes. Then my days on the project got increased and as I’m under contract for the duration, I couldn’t say no. She’s a beautiful person, and someone I really like, someone I really want to know much better as a friend and maybe a lot more, so I’m hoping other chances will follow. Sometimes, life doesn’t always work out for you. So second chances can be very welcome. But it is of course up to the individuals involved. Like almost everything else, context is key. Xx

If we know them well then we’ll be understanding.

If it’s someone new then no, no second chance.

If they have a really good reason, then yes I will. But if they fuck me off like what happened last week, blocking me and not having the courtesy to say no. Then they can quite frankly fuck off.

If they had to cancel for a legitimate reason then yes they have a second chance, we all have lives to live.

If a date was arranged and they go quiet but pop up a week later apologising then no second chance.

It totally depends on the person, the situation, and how they go about cancelling. Some people, yes. Others, no.
