A diary to remind you of upcoming appointments etc or a journal type?

I have no hints or tips because I am rubbish at both. I'm feast or famine either religiously recording every thought and appointment or relying on friends to text the day before an important event to remind me.

I have a big old calendar hanging in the kitchen that I write birthdays in at the start of the year but I don't look at it . I have a smart speaker and ask it to remind me of important dates and appointments which I then write on a piece of paper and don't look at but that is more successful than the calendar.

.

Google calendar - the staple of every poly millennial.

A giant wall calendar that I update with rotas, appointments, days away etc. It helps if I put very important things down on it as soon as I receive them.

I have these things. I've been meaning to sort them out for the next two months for the past week and yet to do it.

Today I will.

Attempt to.

You don’t need fancy diaries for that stuff.

Big fat magic marker…..scribble it done on the side/front of the fridge.

Call it the ‘shit to do tomorrow’ list.

I use my work calendar which is great until I'm not at work

Electronic, because I can't read my own handwriting, and still have a fondness for sucking or chewing pencils or pens.

Which ends badly for me.

I have a diary and stick random crap in it to remind me what I've done. Cinema tickets, tags of clothing I've bought, photos and mostly street stickers from lamposts I find on my travels around town. It gets mighty chunky by the end of the year.

I have a calender on my kitchen wall next to the door, I write things I need to remember on it in red pen, I always see it when I'm leaving the kitchen, it helps because I have the memory of a gold fish!

Oh but seriously, there are a multitude of email notification services where you email them your time and date etc and to other people, but I can't recommend it legally on here.. It's been going for some time.

I have a file on my laptop that I’ve been writing in for nearly 20 years. Nearly 2 million words now, and every entry is dated. I have notebooks as well. There is a lot of rubbish in my head

I don’t write a diary and haven't used a paper diary for years.

I do use the calendar on my phone and work computer for appointments, with reminders, as I have a terrible memory.

I have stuck unusual or quirky wrappers in and a year or so ago Durex had novelty stickers free in their boxes.
