Hey guys and girls, just a little vent. Was talking to someone for a while. We were both free last night. I thought fuck it, let's meet for a social and see where things go. Booked a table at a nearby pub/restaurant. I got there, texted and she said she would be 10 minutes late. Fair enough I thought. 10 more minutes went by and then another 40 minutes and heard nothing. So just had a few drinks to myself, noticed shed blocked me on here and on other apps. Was proper taken aback by it and won't lie pretty pissed off as I made the effort.

Why can't people just be bloody honest and upfront and say they're not interested anymore interested of making people go to the efforts.

Sorry guys and girls for the rant thought I'd vent it out. Ah well. Shit happens.

I've had it so many times. I just focus on the fun meets, chalk the no shows and ghosters up to experience and save a few "yawns" for those that will say "in the 23 years of being on fab it hasn't happened to me once, you need to do your due diligence" blah blah blah

I must admit I have a fair share in blocking people mid conversation for whatever reasons but blocking 10 minutes before supposed meet is just cruel.

Why people do it, no one will ever know.

Booking a table in a pub isn't a bad thing to do at all in my mind, it more means you know you'll have someone to sit and chat when you arrive and not run the risk of the pub being silly busy with no seats avaliable. Now it's Christmas party season it's getting busy everywhere.

That part I don't think you did anything wrong.

Even if they turned up and saw you and walked away. This is still a shitty thing to do. You do look like your pictures in person, you do speak and chat exactly the same way you do on here so if that was their reasoning it would also be completely untrue!

The fact they've blocked you so quick , I'd more suggest they've gone on a night out instead and just wouldn't be honest with you.

I tend to meet people that I’ve spoken to for quite some time and know they are genuine, The fact that she blocked you suggest to me maybe it was a fake account? So I wouldn’t take it too personally

They had booked a room at a pre arranged hotel. They kept messaging the guy, who kept saying “10 mins away, 15 mins away”. Then he admitted he was sat at home in Manchester and they were on the east coast. He never had any intention of turning up.
