It's cold and I want to just snuggle up in bed but I have to leave for work in 15 minutes.

I won't get home until 5ish tomorrow morning.

Send love, hot water bottles, flasks of hot chocolate, flagons of ale - or share your pain if your working the graveyard shift tonight x

I used to love working nights. No management around, using their heating not mine, much less normally going on, I'd get to watch a film on my phone or read a book.

I remember those nights, in my nightclub working era. That’s a hard mood to shift when it's cold. I used to have a late nap with 4 alarms and that would see me through.

I feel your pain. I work nightshift, from 7pm to 7am. It's a struggle at times, let alone when it's cold and dark out there and you dont want to leave your bed

My job is a very social one and usually a buzzing vibe. Just wish I could telaport myself there instead of public transport in the cold. Sounds like you had some pretty chill nights at work x

It's traffic dependent. Sometimes there are diversion due to accidents and whatnot. Usually 45 minutes each way.

I work 8 till 8 with a 40min drive to my destination. Not good in the winter months plus I now work alone which can be lonely but on the whole I prefer nighshift to dayshift.

How good is it when it's a cold dark morning, it's pouring rain outside, and you get home and climb into bed all comfy, while everyone else goes out to battle the traffic and go about a busy day
