Sounds to me OP like you need to conduct a fun experiment. Please report back on findings.

I tell you what keeps me awake at night. Sliced sandwich meet is processed into a circular shape. Why? Bread isn’t circular.

Oh god where to start, it's usually things I've forgotten to do during the day, or what I should have said during that argument in 2008, or I must remember xyz which I'll ultimately forget....

Then there's random song lyrics and other memories, it takes me hours to get to sleep.
