Does anyone on here have ADHD, and if so, do you have a very high sex drive and a looping desire for chasing excitement and fun experiences? 🤔

You don’t need ADHD to have desire and high sex drive. They can be mutually exclusive and often are.

Sorry, but adhd can also be referred to as novelty seeking syndrome, driven by distraction etc. Sometimes, they do things that seemed like a good idea at the beginning, but go a bit pear shaped.

I have adhd, very high sex drive, very very high energy levels, both good things but so many other feelings, worst can be the crippling depression periods but I more than make up for it when I’m good

Yes.

I have ADHD and my love of BDSM play seems to stem from it. I love the endorphins and the fact submitting is the only time my mind is silent

Sorry, the ‘everyone’s on a spectrum’ thing was debunked a few years ago.

The people that know about autism say that ‘on the spectrum’ thing is unhelpful as is trying to call it ‘ASD’

Euphemisms don’t help and conflating with ADHD as ‘neurodivergent’ is also not so good

As a parent of 2 autistic kids, I know quite a bit and don’t find referring to a spectrum particularly challenging. Also, ADHD is a neurodivergence by its very definition. It’s a literal term. Please don’t associate your preferences with those of the masses. You’re entitled to your opinion of course, but it is just that.

Pears, are interesting. I've never really cooked with pears. I wonder what a pear pie would taste like. Would cinnamon still work? I'll just look up a recipe.

AHH shit my tea is cold and I've burnt the toast.

Add in sultanas and maybe mixed spice instead of cinnamon alone.... undiagnosed here 😊

Thank you, I like that I'll put that on a post it and stick it on the gigantic wobbly, swirly noticeboard that is my mind.

Back to the actual topic and away from the Autism Authority Pissing Contest.

There are possible connections between ADHD and Hypersexuality and various studies have been done suggesting possible reasons but nothing, that I can find, conclusive.

"Autism is a spectrum condition and affects people in different ways. Like all people, autistic people have their own strengths and weaknesses. Below is a list of difficulties autistic people may share, including the two key difficulties required for a diagnosis.
