"This must be my 4 thousandth thread on writers block but AH! It’s that dreaded time again. I’m trying to work on my first draft of my book but I’m just completely stuck on what to write. Pls send me words. Many thousands of words." Doubt my words can inspire OP, but hope you can get there

"This must be my 4 thousandth thread on writers block but AH! It’s that dreaded time again. I’m trying to work on my first draft of my book but I’m just completely stuck on what to write. Pls send me words. Many thousands of words." Just write anything, without worrying about where it will go, how it fits in with your plot or theme, whether it makes any sense, whether it's grammatically correct, whether it's any good. Write something, anything, every single day. Save every fragment in your computer, use a system or just keep them as a jumble. Try to use filenames that have some meaning at the time - though tbh 12 months later you'll have no idea what any of them were about. But slowly you'll build a memory bank full of "stuff". A tiny fraction of it you might fit into your book somewhere just as it is. A bit more you'll rewrite and make something of it. Some pieces you'll accidentally reread a few months later and they'll trigger new ideas. Many pieces will go into your second, third, fourth, twenty-fifth novel. Most of it will only get published after you've died, if you've become famous, making your family a small fortune with the "lost tales" series of books...

"In all seriousness though, do you have a rough idea on what you want the book to be about? " I’m on page 52/chapter 37 (very short chapters) so it’s well like…built out I just don’t know where to go from where I am. I do this all the time and it’s very annoying

"I get writer's cock when I'm writing stuff. It's terrible... Is that similar to wanker's cramp?" It's worse than that - much worse. It's where your cock is fighting with you for the pen. It's a nightmare.

"Give us the last line you wrote. Something something about the main character finding it attractive when one of her competitors wiped her snot away…that’s how deep I am in writers block that that’s the best I could come up with " The despair had me. It had just completely consumed me as I sobbed uncontrollably. As I covered my eyes with my hands to somehow stem the tears I was suddenly aware of the fact that snot had started to collect around my nose. Before I could react I heard a single sigh come from him jolting me back to the realisation that I wasn't alone. Without warning, I felt his sleeve wipe away the collection of mucus and in that moment I was his. Something like that?
