I'm not getting any younger and my now-ex was going through the change so we had a conversation about what would happen if one of us went off sex for some reason. We had a very healthy sex life and were fucking 4 or 5 times a week after 5 years together so if one of us lost interest then it would be a big loss for the other. So we discussed the idea of giving the other permission to play outside the relationship.

Has anyone else had that agreement and acted on it? Not swingers but more about addressing a sexual imbalance? What was your experience? Did it help or did it become a problem?

My better half encouraged me to find a chap to play with, which has helped plenty. Not a replacement for her, no-one could be, but certainly an outlet.
