On another thread where it was mentioned that a few people felt there should be a 'thumbs down' emoticon to go alongside the

one - I typed thumbs down into the forum search bar!

And then nearly fell off my chair!!

Not sure how long ago this was but for all those that have previously expressed views on 'star rating' systems and individual profile 'feedback counters' - take a read of what was trialled a few years back!

"We know that some people really contribute to the community here on Fab. They upload sexy photos of themselves, they appear on cam, they meet people, they organise socials, they are a pleasure to message... We want to give you the opportunity to give these superstars recognition. So if you see someone doing something positive on FabSwingers from having a super profile to giving a great cam show, give them a thumbs-up.

On the other hand there are people who have rubbish profiles, who are unpleasant to message, who contribute nothing and are toxic to have on the site. Give these people a big thumbs-down! Don't worry, no one will ever know you've given a thumbs-down rating.

This is an experimental feature. We're not 100% sure how it will turn out but we want to try and capture your views about other users. If this feature helps make Fab better, we'll keep it. If not we'll let it go!"

All the above was cut and pasted from a Fab Q and A page. I'm guessing it didn't go down too well as it's obviously not around now!

Any 'old timers' remember it?

It's a sort of anti-Fab? Do you think there will be threads asking to be anti-Fab'd the way that people ask to be Fab'd?

I'd like a thumbs down emoticon on the options on the forum. There might be one for all I know as people seem to have ninja, santa and moving ones.

I don't know of one, unless someone can enlighten me? I think it was a thumbs down on profile...but a thumbs down for the forums would be useful, for now i just use

Yeah it was not long after the owners took over...it didn't go down very well so was scrapped

I can see it being useful as an emoticon in the forums - plenty of scope for use when a simple yes/no or agree/disagree question is asked.

Wouls also be interesting re status updates.

Be profiles? Nope. If a profile doesn't float your boat - move on. Unless someone's asked for criticism there shouldn't be any given.

I think it would be detrimental to good debate and discussion though, almost like lazy posting instead of posting a view or point on something.

But then again I am as guilty as many because I often use the thumbs up.
