Innocent til proven guilty" its possible that having explosive devices thrown at you may lead to that conclusion..or if one of these persons matched the description of the person seen leaving the rucksack that may well lead to the same conclusion, especially if when approached they opened fire as bullets seem to be going back and forth... reasonable conclusion based on events? or they could simply be some other mad fuckers carrying explosive devices!

There are images of the suspect at large calmly walking away from the explosion. Other than a confession I'm not sure what else is needed to prove it. "I may have to stop watching as I am finding it scary watching the man showing the bullet that came into his house and through his chair. and yet they still wont make changes to their gun laws! " Lets keep it simple the bombs made are not result of lax gun laws its to do with folk wanting to maim and kill by making bombs. Them having guns is by product of the ridiculous american constitution regarding right to bear arms in this instance the two are not directly linked in my view.

"because from 100 meters they recognised that one of them was wearing the same baseball hat, all i am saying is there are a lot more than two nutters in America, wait til there is condemning evidence, these men are not law abiding in themselves but it would be so convenient for them to have committed the bombings, i am not saying they are innocent of the bombings but wait for a proper report. Don't get me wrong but would it not be worse to think the bombers are caught and let them be free to commit more atrocities, its not about catching any terrorist for the atrocities its about catching all terrorists" What? I agree that we should not assume straight away that these are the people who bombed the marathon, but even if they are not, why shouldn't they be taken into custody. They've killed someone. As for proof, why should the FBI give chapter and verse as to who they suspect of the act and give them a heads up that they are about to be caught? Surely a proper investigation means that they follow evidence to make a decision. The fact it has turned into a shoot out doesn't mean they are wrong. Or should the US police ring up Mossy33 before they make an arrest? As you seem to have some information they lack.

NRA is all that needs to be said... are you aware that a parent from sandy addressed the senate and more or less pleaded for change, how could you look or listen and not think yes we need to do something, no one that wants to see change wants the 2nd amendment to be trampled on but even the founding fathers were never able to anticipate these horrific mass murders and the use of military style semi automatic weapons or the ordinary person having access. the 2nd amendment talks of muskets and militia. is it right that people with mental health issues can buy firearms? article: Senate rejects expanded gun background checks By Ted Barrett and Tom Cohen, CNN The votes were on a series of amendments to a broad package of gun laws pushed by President Barack Obama and Democratic leaders in the aftermath of the Newtown school massacre in December. However, fierce opposition by the powerful National Rifle Association led a backlash by conservative Republicans and a few Democrats from pro-gun states that doomed key proposals in the gun package, even after they had been watered down to try to satisfy opponents. After the votes, Obama angrily criticized the NRA and senators who voted against the expanded background checks for rejecting a compromise he said was supported by a strong majority of Americans. Public opinion gets trumped in gun control defeat Obama: Gun lobby 'willfully lied' Obama angry about gun bill failure The risky politics of gun control Soto: Disappointed in our Senate "Instead of supporting this compromise, the gun lobby and its allies willfully lied about the bill," Obama told White House reporters. Noting polls that showed 90% support for such a measure, Obama called it a "pretty shameful day for Washington" and wondered of Congress: "Who are we here to represent?" He was flanked by relatives of gun violence victims as well as former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, a gun owner who was disabled in a shooting attack and supported Obama's proposals. A statement by Giffords and her husband, former astronaut Mark Kelly, said the Senate had "ignored the will of the American people," adding that those senators who voted against the expanded background checks chose to "obey the leaders of the powerful corporate gun lobby, instead of their constituents." To Erica Lafferty, the daughter of the principal of the Newtown, Connecticut, school who was killed along with 20 first-graders and five other educators in the December attack, the vote amounted to inaction in the face of a national tragedy. "The next time there's a mass shooting and they're asked what they did to prevent it, they're going to have to say nothing," she said. On the other side, the NRA's Chris Cox called the expanded background check proposal "misguided," saying it would not reduce violent crime "or keep our kids safe in their schools." read the rest of the article at cnn.com i'll leave it there... you have your view i have mine, but at least you have a little more info

And I do find it kinda funny, every Brit i've ever known to live in the States for any amt of time has owned a gun! " It always seems that two of the arguements given for the pro-gun arguement in the states are that it is their 2nd amendment right - drafted centuries ago in a time where life was a tad different, and the arguement that it is for home protection. Anyone is entitled to protect their property - in fact people all around the world retain this right without access to firearms - such as the UK. The problem is that the US has got itself into a catch 22 situation. People want guns to protect their homes from intruders who may be in possession of guns. If those intruders didn't have access to firearms then the homeowners wouldn't need them. Having got to such high levels of gun ownership it seems impossible that a solution could be found - as many weapons will just 'disappear' should legislation change and as it seems to take an eternity for any legislative changes (unlike the UK following Hungerford/Dunblane) people would simply panic buy anything that was due to be made illegal. It's one reason i'd never live there. You don't see the same things happening in Australia - which is ironic seeing as we used to send our criminal population there!

I think that terrorists are unlikely to be legally purchasing firearms....and it could of course be a police/FBI/National Guard bullet that came through his wall. over 3500 people killed in the states since sandy with firearms..ease of access but accept that there would still be firearm related deaths and how many killed by car accidents, overdoses? I really don't want to get into a pissing contest about American gun laws but you really need to be from there to understand how people don't want their 2nd ammendment rights infringed on or taken away. M seriously! On the other side, the NRA's Chris Cox called the expanded background check proposal "misguided," saying it would not reduce violent crime "or keep our kids safe in their schools." read the rest of the article at cnn.com i'll leave it there... you have your view i have mine, but at least you have a little more info Unfortunately a democracy means that people can vote for stuff you don't like, as well as stuff you do like. Senators and Congress(wo)men are the same as our MPs - expected to represent their constituents. If they voted to not expand the checks, they were voting what the people who elected them want, and unfortunately the US is turning into a very misanthropic country." You have your opinion, I have mine. I have plenty of info thank you.

"Unconfirmed report says one of the bombers was shot and then he was run over by a cop car. The guy died of gunshot and multiple injuries in hospital. One less to worry about then. sorry to intrude but i am a bit mystified, now lets get one thing straight first, i do not condone violence of any kind, but i am just o mystified to know how it is known that these men are the bombers, was there a trial that i missed, i mean there was evidence all stacked against them wasn't there or are we going on the American governments word, the same government that told us that Iraq was littered with weapons of mass destruction, well that was the reason they gave for invading Iraq, yet all reports show that none were found. Innocent til proven guilty" Google Halabja massacre
