"I was recently chatting with a fab friend and she commented that I make her feel safe. She's not the first lady to say that and whilst I'm very pleased women feel that way around me, it did start me wondering? Is it that I'm dull and relatively harmless? Is it that I give off a respectful vibe? Is it a trait ladies look for or more the voracious wolf "alpha" that has ladies weak at the knicker elastic? Good ladies of the forum, your insight is valued " Congratulations OP, a new member of the Fab League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen. If a woman says she feels safe with you it’s something to be proud of… it doesn’t reflect badly on your masculinity, rather it defines it.. If a women feels safe to experiment with you, relaxed to play, able to explore and push limits, play with others while assured you will look out for her… the ‘Alpha Wolf’ attitude doesn’t mean making women worried to be alone with this personality type.

"It's an odd thing to say " • I disagree. It's a gracious thing to say and some things should be taken/accepted in the spirit in which it's intended. Not every compliment or gesture is a loaded one.
