If you’re in a DJ then it’s got to be a bow tie, otherwise a lovely 3 piece suit with tie will suffice. Cravat only for members of a wedding party

I've never worn a Bow Tie.

A Cravat doesn't appeal to me. It's a carbuncle around one's neck.

And if you are going for a bow tie, either learn how to tie it, or don’t wear wing tip collar if you are going to use a clip on.

Also if you are wearing a clip on, take a real one too, drape that one round the neck when the dancing gets going and the ties come off.

Always 4-in-hand for me. Men in Windsors nearly always seem to make them huge, like they're auditioning for Grange Hill.
