Who doesn't enjoy Halloween?

Who doesn't want them pesky little humans at the door with their demands

Who doesn't like scary films?

I don't think it makes one a miserable fucker, just not one to get in the spirit.....

I think I love Halloween but not everything associated with it if that makes sense.

The dress up for me is one of my favourite things!

"I don’t like trick or treaters, it’s not what Halloween is about for me, it’s the celebration of autumn"

I agree, don't really like that aspect anymore. It has got out of control. Swarms of kids sometimes with or without their parents just at yout door step. Rather intimidating especially if they see you have nothing outside to indicate you are happy to go along with that. But hey ho, fun at the expense of others isn't unsual these days, halloween or not. Other than that, I have no problem celebrating it🎃

Deterring the Trick Or Treat menace is simple.

Put this sign on your door:

"Any children calling here will be photographed for private purposes."

Just don't blame me if...

Here, There & Everywhere

Thankfully we live on a quiet street where, in more than 10 years, we haven't had a single trick or treater at our door. Suits us 😁

Opening my door to let my heat out so i can give out sweets that I didn't want buy, why would I not enjoy that ?

It's become a home decorating display like Christmas.

I just don't like it, a very American thing. We spend all year, as parents, telling our kids, there's no such things as ghosts and witches then 1 night a year saying the opposite.

Commercial exercise that’s wrecking the planet. Have to question the intelligence of those who are incredibly passionate about it. Appreciate that seems harsh. Not for me!

I normally don’t answer the door, we don’t tend to get many callers anyway due to not being on an estate, this year I just left the porch door open and light on and set up a chair with a bowl of sweets on to help themselves, I set the framed photo of my ugly mate that I only got to annoy my ex but still have now for some reason on the chair also

The benefits of living in a flat! Obviously I’m charming and delightful in every way but it’s possible there may be an inner miserable bastard trying to get out.

I don’t celebrate any holidays or festivities so it’s not just Halloween.

couple, us we him her.

Like I said to the Mrs a few minutes ago.

I don't need to be told what night of the year I can scare children, I want to do it at my convenience.

If I want to scare a bunch of children in April I bloody well will!

We don't celebrate Halloween, when my kids were young they were always afraid of people knocking the door with scary masks on. So, I used to take them out for tea.

We don't decorate the house or buy sweets for trick or treaters as we don't answer the door. Thankfully, nobody has knocked this evening.

I have no problem with others celebrating Halloween, and some houses near us have really gone to a lot of effort, which is fun to see as we drive past. It's just not for us.

The parents are quite good round here - they won't let the kids knock if you don't have a pumpkin (or something else Halloween themed) lit up. One of the benefits of living in a cult de sac is that the local yoofs tend to stay away, so the only people in the road t ick or treating are those younger children that live in the road.

I don't participate because I don't actually know any of the parents/kids in my road or surrounds, and I was always told as a kid that you don't take sweets from strangers.

And... Don't we have a childhood obesity problem in the UK? 🤔

I don't mind scary films but I really can't be arsed with anything regards to Halloween.

If I never hear Thriller or The Monster Mash again I'll be happy

Valid point!!! We also tell our children not to accept things off strangers and then agree to them knocking doors for sweets. Nah. Never have like halloween never will.

Then one night a year a big fat man in red suit empties his sack all over the world

Cult de sac. 🙂 Whether that faux pas was intentional or unintentional it still made me smile.

I like celebrating it, when I'm not at home. Living on an estate with too many twonk teens, roaming late at night has lots of downsides.

Hence why I book a night away every halloween
