I won't shop at Currys because their appalling customer service, are their companies that, because of the poor way you have been treated, you won't give them your business?

I write them a complaint letter if they make me an offer I think is good enough I will go back if not I go elsewhere.

Yes, I never return after appalling service. I'm not just talking a bit of a bad day. I've had things go wrong because of a company but if they have done their best to put it right then I will go back. It's the lack of care or consideration - the 'we don't give a fuck, we have your money' attitude I loathe. And I make sure that I pass it around. Word-of-mouth is very powerful advertising for good or bad.

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

The worst customer service I ever get is from First Bus. But as I need to catch the bus I have to keep on using them.

Don't use them either after buying a washing machine and paying for installation to be told can't fit that, it's a spur! That means what to me?!!

Electric oven couldn't be fitted either, something about output I think he said...he was boring me until I told him to be quiet and leave.

Don't get that shit with John Lewis!

Normally, I would say a store or company only has ever got one 'bite of the cherry ' if the service is no good , theres plenty of other competition, for us, B & Q rate top, but sadly , they are the only DIY store that keeps a good selection of products who are local, so cant avoid,

Normally tho if I have free time or bored, I just go in to wind the staff up !!

"Yup i wont use currys."
Likewise, took my folks who fully intended to buy a new tv, not one sales person asked if they were looking for anything or wanted help deciding, very poor show.

My local B & Q are great. I ordered a shower screen - they didn't have it in so the manager went to another store, put it in the back of his car and had it delivered. It wasn't right so they arranged to pick it up and reimbursed me - no problem.

Im wondering if the likes of curry's directors are aware of how shit their customer experience is, or are they just interested in the sale?. Might work for one sale but your not going to get repeat custom.

do you mean an electrical spur ie an extension lead ? If you do the delivery/instalation staff are not allowed to connect to them due to risk of fire from defective extension leads.the same applies to plumbing extensions for both waste and clean water it is considered gross mIsconduct to fit either and they are tested secretly tho having said that some are Just lazy and looking for an excuse not to do the fitting

In my own little world

I use an independent garage for my car, because of their customer service and they pick my car up, so no hassle..

Unfortunately they broke my wing mirror the other day, said they found it like it. Bit of a tussle going on now, as they refuse to replace, yet I've got two neighbours who witnessed the guy sweeping up the bits and its on my CCTV. Grrr!

...are you sure about that???

Why selling the " installation" then? Or use it as reason to push customers to buy???

Restraunts are a tricky one, you sometimes can have great food but poor service, or poor food and delightfull service.

Definitely, if they piss us off enough. There is a mobile phone provider we shall never use again. I only have to be lied to or cheated once. Don't take prisoners. A certain bed shop will never again have our custom either.

The NHS is in a league of its own when it comes to customer service.

No modern means of communication, arbitrary cancellations, long waits, messed up appointments, no-one seems to know anything and if they do they have to call you in for another appointment instead of informing you and so you go round the circle again.

I think its secretly run by North Korea

I'm a nightmare for bad customer service. Having worked as a customer service manager for so long, I detest bad service. I will write to companies and complain, if they are seen to do something I may go back again, but if I still receive shoddy service I will not.

However, if someone goes out of their way to help me, I will also write to their company commending their service. I think we complain too much, and don't say thank you enough.

I think they appreciate the positive feedback I try to do that.
