La La Land

Do you prefer the classics or the remakes?

Can you name a sequel which is better than the original?

Prefer the classics but occasionally a sequel is better than the original.

Blade 2, massive improvement on Blade.

Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn The Evil Dead

Depends on the film and genre, nothing will beat original The Day of the Jackal, say, but some streaming channel is advertising Jackal at the minute.

I couldn’t argue godfather 2 better than original, both are great together.

Lethal Weapon 2, Rocky IV I dunno 🤷‍♂️

some classics just cant be made better

original

2002

2013 remake

whilst i dont like the fog i do prefer the remake to it more ghost story but no horror

The Fly.

I'm talking about the 1986 remake starring Jeff Goldblum & Geena Davis (a remake of the 1958 film which was quite good itself).

I'm not talking about The Fly II (sequel to the 1986 film) as that was quite shitty by comparison.

Aliens is still the top tier of the category for a sequel being better than the original

Toy Story 2 was (in my humble opinion), better than the original.

WELLINGBOROUGH

The Good, The Bad and The Ugly is a sequal ( prequel) better than the two great films it followed

Better Remake, Cape Fear

Classics…every day of the week!

Noted that all films these days always leave an ending that is soooo bloody obvious that it allows for a sequel!
