Are you happy

Looking back are you overall happy?

Looking forward what do you need to do find happiness or maintain it?

Regardless of the persona you portray

Looking back I am overall. There are things I may have done differently but I raised a family pretty much on my own and they still all talk to me!

Going forward to realise I’m enough and not to compromise my feelings totally

It's taken me a long time but yes.

Life hasn't been easy but I am thankful and actually pretty content.

Sure, there's always a longing for more or to do better or improve. I will always have that and I'm glad of it as its made stronger.

It’s taken me some time too but yeah I’m very content, want for nothing and the relationships that matter most are good. I think I made a positive impact overall and given a lot of opportunities to people and that’s very satisfying

Life can only be understood backwards, but must be lived forward.

Being happy is about finding what you truly love doing and do that more than anything else.

What makes you happy may change as you get older so it is important to adapt. But focus on the things that make you happy.

As my ma used to say, no one lies in their death bed wishing they had worked harder. Life is for living.

"Life can only be understood backwards, but must be lived forward.

"

Reminded of me Steve Jobs….

‘You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.’

It’s great that you’ve focused on what you’ve done and achieved no matter how small it’s a great way to think

Overall yes I’m more truthful to myself and in a lot better happier place however i do feel quite low right now so know I need to sort it out

I'm very content and have moments of happiness or joy (or both) every day. There have been some very challenging periods over the last couple of years, but that feeling of content/peace has been ever-present behind the stress or moments of sadness.

For me to be able to say that is a really big deal.

I don't cry in the shower every day, I don't cry myself to sleep. I don't get the feeling of dread anymore when I hear a van pull up.

So yeah, I'm happier. I have who I need in my life and I no longer have those I don't. There's things that could make me happier, I guess there always will be. But for now, I'm good.

Oh and I have coffee

Why ever not?

At that stage there is no danger of actually having to do it!

Sort of, some days I feel so happy and content but still get the odd evening sitting alone thinking what the fuck has become of my life.

Some of it can’t be helped, I really miss my kids being young and wish they could have stayed young forever obviously this is impossible but can’t help wish for it.

My 2 sons live with me full time and I have joint custody of my daughter so I’m very lucky In that regard I mainly struggle the first few days after she goes back to her mams

Overall life is pretty good.

my life, generally, has been a mess. A traumatic childhood meant i was a bit out of control but, although i would not say I was ever happy, I had found contentment. Recent events have spun things a bit and i find myself struggling mentally, but I know that I will find my path back. Contentment for me was quite sufficient

Overall, yes.

There are still some areas of my life that I need to work on.

Eat better, exercise more.

Finances

Taking more opportunities as they come, although I feel that will sit on the back burner a little while longer.
