Hey everyone,

We’re a couple just looking for something real – you know, something deeper than the usual quick chat or casual meet-up. It feels like so many people just want to keep things light, and that’s fine sometimes, but we’re after more.

We’d love to meet someone who actually wants to dig a bit deeper, someone who’s curious about really getting to know each other, finding out what makes us tick, and having those conversations where you totally lose track of time. The kind of connection where there’s build-up and excitement, and you actually feel it.

OP, with respect, I do wonder about this type of thing because I don’t think you can really force deep friendship. Finding someone who is on the same wavelength to you is very rare and that spark will hit when it wants to hit.

I don't think it's something you can look for. You meet people and sometimes it becomes more, sometimes it doesn't. If you're actively looking, you run the risk of either shoehorning people in to something they're not meant to fit in or turning away those who might be but you don't give a chance.

That connection can't be manufactured. It develops. When it does it's fantastic. I've never actively looked for it, so I wouldn't say it's hard to find it. It's worth waiting for.

Hi. Do u not think deeper connections are found over time,so if your looking at that on the first meet .your missing so much opportunity for a deeper connection it's built on many things and cannot be found on a first meet .would unot be better meeting and seeing were it took you ?

Getting in to deep with just one couple can be dangerous I believe, the old green eye Jealousy can come across at any time.

i have long term lovers one 30 year one 25 years both are what id call friends with benefits but theres always been a line in the sand that wont be crossed ...im only loving to my husband anyone else is just fun and friendship ... ive seen a few couples break up over the years for allowing things to go to far

It's something that can happen, and it's something I've had the great fortune to find during my time here. But it's not easy. And it's not something that you can plan. My best friend from this site, who I met within my first few days here, sometimes laments "all I wanted was a shag!" (he's joking, at this stage). I've got some who are as close as family, who I met through gradual mutual forum appreciation. Another I started a conversation intending for it to go nowhere.

These things tend to find me - I don't go looking.

I love those conversations. Where you drop someone off and turn off the engine, because you know it'll take hours before the conversation is finished and then suddenly it's 3am.

Yeah it's rare. It isn't just a desire or openness to it - it's either there or it's not.
