Wherever

I sometimes do, especially if I’m out in a central London area lunchtime or otherwise. I think it’s pretty common.

wonderland.

We never plan as a couple and just go to clubs ... As a single lady I would often put a last minute social meet for a cuppa... but stopped as guys kept assuming it would lead to more.

I know what you mean and sometimes all you want is a nice coffee/tea and a bit of cake and a good chat

I would consider it. I work in the centre of Edinburgh and an after work and coffee/drink would sometimes be great. However it's actually really hard work to make happen.

In general a meet today thing gets you lots of messages from people you don't really want to meet or people who can't when you can.

Just added a coffee and cake meet. Testing the theory

If by what you mean on the same day or planning something the evening before for the next morning then it's no. A couple of days' notice is usually what I prefer either for a quick luncheon or coffee and cake. I live and work in Central London and so a rendezvous in the City is always a welcome distraction - more favourable when meeting a forum-dweller.

I don't employ spontaneity for sexual encounters (they have to be planned). I'm one of those people who has the inability to create chemistry and a mental connection on a whim.

I'd love to be spontaneous in that respect but life gets in the way.

It's interesting and might be wrong but people might find the spontaneous sexual one easier to do than the social one - probably something to do with hormones I was of course was mainly talking social coffee meet and some of us find sometimes free last minute and orcwork as you say in a city or wherever that a short pleasant meet of that kind could be nice.

I'd quite like a spontaneous meet, even if it was just for a coffee. Just never seen that happening on here for many reasons.

If I'm off work then I'm almost always up for a social.

The reason I seldom have impromptu socials is because the people I chat to who are up for them tend to assume it'll be a social and maybe more rather than an absolute social and nothing more.

I'm very rarely up for an impromptu more than a social unless it's someone I know very well.

I know exactly what you mean. Incidently nobody is taking up the offer of coffee and cake this afternoon yet so I might just either finish the one I have here or get up, jump in the car and go to a favourite hotel of mine not far from here for a bit of afternoon tea. And if I am lucky, thete are aften some nice people there for a chat too
